We have a custom formulation package here at Renegade Private Label. Whether it's in the home cleaning products category, the car cleaning products category, or pretty much any type of cleaning chemical, we can manufacture it from scratch. I have a chemist on staff and I have a graphic designer on staff, so we can customize pretty much anything from start to finish: the formula, and then also the bottling, labeling, things like that. Some people opt to just get a formula, too, and you can totally do that. But basically this package is to formulate a product.
So if you have specific things you want to do, like a plant-based laundry detergent, or a particular type of tire dressing with a particular performance level, or a ceramic spray, we can formulate those products for you. That's if you're not basing it on something else and you want something completely new or unique in the marketplace.
If you want to own the formula after, we have two different packages. With the first one, we formulate something and we own the formula. We would only ever use it for you and your product. That's the protection for us, since we only do it for $299. When we create a formula like that, it takes a lot of trial and error, research and making samples. It comes with two samples: one sample and then a revision after that. That's where the $299 comes from. It's to figure out the finalized formula, and once the finalized formula is figured out, we quote you on the actual product. So this package is basically just to figure out and finalize the formula.
You may be asking yourself: there's the $299 or $300, but then there's also the extra $2,500 to own the formula. If you want to create the formula, that's one thing. If you want to actually own the formula, so you own the intellectual property, we can give you that after if you buy the full package. So you can click that button if that's what you want. Or if you're comfortable with just us figuring out the formula, we can do that, and again, we would only use that formula for you. That's the level of protection, because I am a chemical manufacturer. That's why I offer my packages at such a low price without owning the formulation. Then we make the chemicals and we have a good relationship from there.

When it comes to minimums on these types of products, generally the minimum is at least a 55-gallon drum. It depends on the product, though. Sometimes if we have to bring in special raw materials to make your formulation, the minimums can be larger: one 55-gallon drum, 110 gallons, maybe a tote's worth. It's impossible to know sometimes until the formula is finalized, but I'd say most chemicals fall within the one-drum minimum range.
Prices depend on the product. If we don't know the exact formula, I can't quote you on it. That's why we do this package: to figure out what the formula is and what it costs, and then I quote you at the end on the actual packaging, whether it's 1 gallon jugs, 16 oz bottles or 32 oz bottles. If you just want to buy by the 55-gallon drum, you can do that. There's pretty much any type of option after that, as long as you're meeting the minimum of a 55-gallon drum's worth. As an example, 440 units of 16 oz equals a 55-gallon drum's worth, and at 32 oz that's 220 units. Do I own the formula?
Only with the Exclusive Formula + Own the Formula option. With the Exclusive Formula option, Renegade keeps the formula but uses it only for your product. That is what keeps the development price low, because we then manufacture it for you.
What is included in the formulation package?
