Hull Cleaner - Gel Spray: Professional Strength Acidic Restorer

Our Hull Cleaner Gel is a high-viscosity, heavy-duty formula designed to stay where you spray it. Unlike watery cleaners that run off instantly, this gel clings to the hull, allowing the active organic acids to break down stubborn "Mustache" stains, mineral deposits, and rust streaks without aggressive scrubbing.

• Targeted Action: Effectively removes algae stains, rust, and brown tannin "tea" stains from fiberglass and gelcoats.

• Vertical Cling: Thickened gel formula minimizes runoff and waste, ensuring longer chemical contact time.

• Fresh Scent: Formulated with a Hawaiian Breeze fragrance to mask the harsh chemical odors common in industrial cleaners.

• Advanced Surfactants: Contains AOS-40 for deep-penetrating cleaning power.

Directions for Use

1. Preparation

• Safety First: This product contains acids ($pH \approx 2$). Always wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Use in a well-ventilated area.

• Surface Check: Ensure the hull is dry or slightly damp. For best results, use on a cool surface out of direct sunlight to prevent the gel from drying too quickly.

• Test Spot: Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with your specific gelcoat or paint.

2. Application

• Apply: Using a trigger sprayer or chemical-resistant brush, apply the gel directly to the stained area.

• Dwell: Allow the product to sit for 5 to 10 minutes. You will see the yellowing and rust start to fade as the acids react.

• Agitate (Optional): For extreme buildup, lightly agitate the area with a soft-bristled boat brush or sponge. Do not let the product dry completely on the surface.

3. Removal

• Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the area with high-pressure fresh water.

• Neutralize: Ensure all residue is washed away, especially near metal trailers or galvanized parts.

• Protect: Because acidic cleaners strip away wax and sealants, it is highly recommended to re-apply a high-quality marine wax or ceramic coating after cleaning to protect the gelcoat.
