Directions for Use

1. Preparation

• Safety First: This product contains acids ($pH \approx 2$). Always wear chemical-resistant gloves and eye protection. Use in a well-ventilated area.

• Surface Check: Ensure the hull is dry or slightly damp. For best results, use on a cool surface out of direct sunlight to prevent the gel from drying too quickly.

• Test Spot: Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with your specific gelcoat or paint.

2. Application

• Apply: Using a trigger sprayer or chemical-resistant brush, apply the gel directly to the stained area.

• Dwell: Allow the product to sit for 5 to 10 minutes. You will see the yellowing and rust start to fade as the acids react.

• Agitate (Optional): For extreme buildup, lightly agitate the area with a soft-bristled boat brush or sponge. Do not let the product dry completely on the surface.

3. Removal

• Rinse: Thoroughly rinse the area with high-pressure fresh water.

• Neutralize: Ensure all residue is washed away, especially near metal trailers or galvanized parts.

• Protect: Because acidic cleaners strip away wax and sealants, it is highly recommended to re-apply a high-quality marine wax or ceramic coating after cleaning to protect the gelcoat.
